South West United 2 and Croatia B have two wins apiece after two rounds, with Milan 2 and Jasper Place close behind.
EDMONTON | November 6, 2026
TWO ROUNDS COMPLETE. TWO TEAMS STILL PERFECT. AND THE PROMOTION RACE IS UNDERWAY.
The 2026/27 EFL Serie B season has already produced 86 goals across ten completed matches, and the opening standings show a competitive race taking shape.
SOUTH WEST UNITED 2 AND CROATIA B SET THE PACE
South West United 2 opened with a 6–1 victory over Cameroon SA, then followed it with an 8–5 win over Millonarios FC in Round 2. Two wins, 14 goals scored and six points put South West at the top of the early table on goal difference.
Edmonton Croatia SC B are also perfect after two games, though their victories have come by the narrowest margins. A 3–2 win against Millonarios was followed by a 2–1 result against FC Ukraine. Six points, two one-goal wins and a demonstration of how much results can depend on fine margins.
THE CHASING PACK
Edmonton AC Milan 2 opened with an emphatic 13–2 victory over North Athletico FC, before drawing 4–4 with Jasper Place FC. They sit on four points, level with Jasper Place, who defeated Xtreme Warriors 5–3 in Round 1.
Xtreme Warriors bounced back from that defeat with a 9–5 win over FC Kalyna. FC Ukraine opened with a 4–1 win over Kalyna before falling narrowly to Croatia B. Cameroon SA also responded to an opening loss, beating North Athletico FC 6–2 in Round 2.
The early table is tightly packed behind the two leaders. Consistency, not just goal-scoring, will be crucial as more games are played.
