The Edmonton Futsal League returns for the 2026/2027 season with a clear objective: keep raising the level of competitive futsal in the city.
The EFL enters the new season as part of the wider Futsal Edmonton platform, bringing clubs, competition data, match information, standings, news and broadcasts together in one place.
The Competition Returns
The 2026/2027 EFL season is scheduled to begin October 28, bringing Edmonton clubs back onto the futsal court for another winter of fast, technical and competitive play.
This season, the EFL will operate with Serie A and Serie B as its two regular-season competition levels.
The EFL Cup remains a separate competition and will be managed independently from league registration.
Serie A
Serie A is the top EFL league competition.
It is designed for clubs prepared to compete at the highest level of the local league structure, where technical quality, tactical discipline, pace and consistency matter every match night.
Serie B
Serie B gives the EFL a second competitive level and creates more room for clubs to enter, develop and build within the Futsal Edmonton system.
The purpose is not to create a lesser version of the league. It is to create a clearer competitive environment where teams can play meaningful matches against appropriate opposition and continue developing their futsal programs.

The new season will also continue the league's push toward a stronger professional presentation.
